Fridays Off Fabric Shop loves Ryan's Case for Smiles!

Ryan's Case for Smiles' goal is to provide a bright, cheery pillowcase to every child with cancer or a life changing illness or injury across North America and beyond. Since its inception Ryan's Case for Smiles (formerly ConKerr Cancer) has been able to make amazing progress towards fulfilling their goal of making hospital stays as pleasant as possible for chronically ill children and their parents.

To help them reach that goal, sewing circles, school groups, church groups and fabric shops across North America have all pitched in making pillowcases for the kids.

Fridays Off Fabric Shop is a drop off location for pillowcases and sends all received pillowcases to The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, ON.

If you're interested in getting involved please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Follow the pattern. Open up the specific pattern from the Ryan's Case for Smiles website. You'll need 0.3 metres (1/3 yard) for the band and 0.7 metres (3/4 yard) for the main pillowcase fabric.
  2. Pick your fabric. Look for bright, cheery, kid-friendly fabrics.
  3. Get sewing!
  4. Pack them. When you're finished your pillowcase(s) please wash, press, fold and package each in a ziplock bag.
  5. Send them on their way. Send your finished pillowcase(s) to:
